What is Meedu?

A simple academic podcast creation and hosting service.
(pronounced "mee-djuu")

Meedu offers simple, rock-solid hosting of academic podcasts. Host any media type and manage everything right from your browser. Meedu also integrates with the award winning Podcast in a Box appliance for full automation of podcast production. Your professors don't have to be computer wizards for students to reap the benefits of educational podcasting.

Meedu is prototyping and evaluating extremely low priced storage and bandwidth through Cal-ITEC at the San Diego Supercomputer Center on the University of California San Diego campus and later through academic hosting arrangements with other universities and colleges sharing their bandwidth and storage for the educational community. The network is completely open and will remain that way through governance by our board of advisors, which are currently in the selection process.

How Can I Participate?

Meedu is initially accepting 100 American universities to participate in the podcast hosting arrangement provided by a collaboration between Cal-ITEC at the San Diego Supercomputer Center on the University of California in San Diego. Access to Meedu will initially be provided through an evaluation of a Podcast in a Box automated podcasting appliance. As this project grows we will be inviting more users into the network.
