Meedu.org is initially accepting 100 American university or college instructors
to participate in the podcast hosting arrangement provided by collaboration
with Cal-ITEC at the
University of California in San Diego.
Access to each of these hosting accounts will be provided through the evaluation
of an automated podcast appliance, Podcast in a Box. These initial users
of Meedu will be able to experiment with a secure and simple automated podcasting
appliance integrated with a reliable, open, and trusted podcast hosting
service.
After the evaluation and trial period has been completed, Meedu will seek
additional university hosting partners, and open another slot of podcast
creation and hosting accounts, but it is unlikely these will be available
until after Fall Quarter 2006.
